The day has arrived! The 2024 NFL season is officially over, which we all have mixed feelings about. As we usher in the excitement and expectations of the playoffs, we are saying goodbye to the regular season for another year. However, regardless of their records, many teams played their hearts out for football fans everywhere, showing true grit and tenacity.
On the other hand, some teams had a rough afternoon or night losing it all and had to enter the offseason, licking their wounds and reloading for a very competitive 2025 season. We’ll never forget the wild memories the 2024 season gave us, but it’s over, and our attention turns to the 14 teams who have made it to the NFL playoffs.
Here are the grades for week 18 of all 32 NFL teams after the final game of the 2024 season.
Which NFL teams had the highest and lowest grades after week 18?
Arizona Cardinals: A-
Even though the Cardinals didn’t make it to the playoffs, the team finished the 2024 season on a positive note with a monstrous 47-24 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Kyler Murray threw four touchdowns with no interceptions, Tony Jones and Michael Carter Jr. both scored rushing touchdowns, Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr. both scored receiving touchdowns, and Greg Dortch scored two touchdowns.
On defense, the Redbirds had a fumble recovery, two sacks, and two interceptions. A great finish for the Cardinals, as the future looks good with Harrison Jr. and McBride emerging as Murray’s favorite targets.
Atlanta Falcons: C

The Falcons started the 2024 season with a loss and ended the 2024 season with a close and painful 38-44 loss to the Carolina Panthers in overtime, ending their chances of making the playoffs. Michael Penix Jr. threw two touchdowns against an interception and scored a rushing touchdown, Bijan Robinson scored two rushing touchdowns, and Drake London scored two touchdowns.
On defense, the Falcons had no sacks or interceptions. A tough afternoon for the Falcons’ defense, but Michael Penix Jr. looks like a star in the making, as he looks to be the team’s answer at quarterback despite some good flashes from Kirk Cousins.
Baltimore Ravens: A-
The Ravens had an excellent finish to the 2024 NFL season, with a 35-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. Lamar Jackson threw two touchdowns with no interceptions, Derrick Henry scored two rushing touchdowns, and Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews each scored touchdowns.
On defense, the Ravens had two sacks and two interceptions, with one being returned by Nate Wiggins for a 26-yard pick-six. This win also helped the team clinch the three-seed in the AFC Playoffs.
Buffalo Bills: B-
The Bills may have lost a somewhat competitive 16-23 battle against the New England Patriots, but they rested their starters for the upcoming playoffs. Mitch Trubisky threw a touchdown with no interceptions, James Cook scored a rushing touchdown, Curtis Samuel had 52 receiving yards, and Ray Davis scored a touchdown.
On defense, the Bills had a fumble recovery and a sack. Not the ideal finish for the Bills, but they put up a good fight against their AFC East rivals. The Bills shift their focus towards the playoffs and welcoming the Denver Broncos to town.
Carolina Panthers: A-
The Panthers played a very strong and competitive battle in their 44-38 overtime victory against the Atlanta Falcons, spoiling their chances of reaching the NFL playoffs for the first time since the 2017 season. Bryce Young threw three touchdowns and scored two rushing touchdowns, Miles Sanders scored a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown, and Tommy Tremble and David Moore both scored receiving touchdowns.
On defense, the Panthers had a sack and interception. However, the Panthers’ 2024 season was painful to watch. For the most part, Bryce Young’s play has improved, and he should have a better 2025 season.
Chicago Bears: B+
Congratulations, Bears fans; not only did the Bears win 24-22 against the Green Bay Packers, but they also snapped their 11-game losing streak against the Packers. Caleb Williams threw a touchdown with no interceptions, D’Andre Swift scored a rushing touchdown, and DJ Moore scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Bears had two fumble recoveries and three sacks.
The Bears also won their first game at Lambeau Field since the 2015 season, thanks to kicker Cairo Santos’ heroics at the very end. Even though Williams wasn’t sacked throughout the game, the team needs to fix their offensive line for a better and more successful 2025 season.
Cincinnati Bengals: B-
The Bengals may have won 19-17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but their playoff hopes were dashed when the Denver Broncos shut out the Kansas City Chiefs 38-0. Joe Burrow threw a touchdown against an interception, Khalil Herbert rushed for 69 yards, and Ja’Marr Chase scored the team’s only touchdown.
On defense, the Bengals had four sacks and a fumble recovery. As good as the Bengals were, their efforts weren’t enough for a chance at returning to the NFL playoffs for the first time since the 2022 season.

Cleveland Browns: D-
The Browns end the 2024 season on a miserable note, losing 10-35 against the Baltimore Ravens in primetime. Bailey Zappe threw a touchdown against two interceptions, D’Onta Foreman rushed for 27 yards, Jerry Jeudy had 63 receiving yards, and Jordan Atkins scored the team’s only touchdown.
On defense, the Browns had no sacks or interceptions. A rough way to end the 2024 season. The Browns have a lot to fix and retool for the 2025 regular season.
Dallas Cowboys: C
The Cowboys played a very competitive battle against their NFC East foes, the Washington Commanders, but lost 19-23. Trey Lance threw no touchdowns or interceptions, Rico Dowdle scored the team’s only touchdown, and Jalen Tolbert had 98 receiving yards. On defense, the Cowboys had six sacks and a fumble recovery.
As competitive as the Cowboys were on defense, not having CeeDee Lamb on the field hurt offensively, as he was out due to a shoulder injury. The Cowboys have a long offseason ahead of them if they want to have a successful 2025 season.
Denver Broncos: A-
The Mile High Broncos finished the 2024 season on a high note, no pun intended, shutting out the Kansas City Chiefs 38-0 at home. Bo Nix threw four touchdowns with no interceptions, Audric Estime scored a rushing touchdown, Courtland Sutton and Devaugh Vele both scored touchdowns, and Marvin Mims Jr. scored two touchdowns. On defense, the Broncos had five sacks but no interceptions.
A strong afternoon for the Broncos at home, as they also clinched their ticket for the 2024-25 NFL playoffs as a wildcard team. Don’t skip a beat and fall asleep on the Broncos.
Detroit Lions: A-
The Lions had a great night at home, winning 31-9 in dominating fashion against the Minnesota Vikings. Jared Goff threw a touchdown against two interceptions, Amon-Ra St. Brown had 77 receiving yards, and Jahmyr Gibbs scored three rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown. On defense, the Lions had two sacks but no interceptions.
As soon as Gibbs’ foot stepped on the field, his play was tremendous, and he was the MVP of the night, who helped the team secure their best record in team history and the one-seed to the NFC Playoffs.
Green Bay Packers: B-
The Packers played a competitive battle against the Chicago Bears until the very end but lost 22-24 on a last-second field goal. Malik Willis and Jordan Love both didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions, Emmanuel Wilson and Josh Jacobs both scored rushing touchdowns, and Malik Heath had 53 receiving yards. On defense, the Packers had a sack and an interception.
Despite the loss, the Packers benched some of their key starters for the playoffs, as the team is expected to make a solid playoff run, similar to what they did in the 2023 season.
Houston Texans: B
The Texans played a decent final regular season game and won 23-14 against the Tennessee Titans. C.J. Stroud threw a touchdown with no interceptions, Davis Mills threw no touchdowns or interceptions, Dameon Pierce scored a rushing touchdown, and Nico Collins scored a touchdown.
On defense, the Texans had two sacks and a fumble recovery. Seeing the Texans earn a win to close out the regular season is always fun, but the team has a lot of work ahead of them in the upcoming NFL playoffs.
Indianapolis Colts: C+
It wasn’t pretty, but the Colts finished the regular season on a positive note, winning 26-23 in overtime against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Joe Flacco threw a touchdown with no interceptions, Jonathan Taylor scored a rushing touchdown, Josh Downs had 94 receiving yards, and Alec Pierce scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Colts had two sacks and an interception.
A very competitive battle until Matt Gay kicked the game-winning field goal for the team to conclude the regular season. However, the Colts have some things to fix in the 2025 offseason if Anthony Richardson has any chance of bouncing back from his sophomore slump. The Colts did fire defensive coordinator Gus Bradley after three seasons with the team, which is a start to the ever-going rebuild.
Jacksonville Jaguars: C-
The Jacksonville Jaguars played a competitive battle against their AFC South rivals, the Indianapolis Colts, but lost 23-26 in overtime on the road. Mac Jones threw a touchdown against an interception, Tank Bigsby scored a rushing touchdown, Brian Thomas Jr. had 107 receiving yards, and Parker Washington scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Jaguars had three sacks but no interceptions.
As good as Bigsby and Thomas Jr. are, the Jaguars have a lot of work ahead of them in the 2025 offseason for their return to relevancy. The team also fired head coach Doug Pederson, which means the team will begin their search for their next head coach.
Kansas City Chiefs: F
The Kansas City Chiefs may have been shut out 0-38 on the road in Denver, but they were resting their starters on purpose for their playoff run as the one-seed to the AFC. Carson Wentz threw no touchdowns or interceptions, Carson Steele rushed for 25 yards, and Nikko Remigio had 48 receiving yards.
On defense, the Chiefs had no sacks or interceptions. A disastrous game for the Chiefs’ backups, but the loss was most likely inevitable, as their starters are resting and gearing up to host whoever their opponent will be in the AFC Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.
Las Vegas Raiders: D
The Raiders’ disastrous season ended with their 20-34 loss at home against the Los Angeles Chargers. Aidan O’Connell threw two touchdowns against an interception, the Raiders’ rushing attack was held to a combined 39 yards, and Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers both scored touchdowns.
On defense, the Raiders had a sack but no interceptions. The Raiders have a lot of repairs to make to the offensive line and the running back positions when the 2025 offseason begins.
Los Angeles Chargers: B+
The Chargers played a very competitive battle against the Las Vegas Raiders, winning 34-20 in Sin City. Justin Herbert threw two touchdowns with no interceptions, J.K. Dobbins rushed for 63 yards, Hassan Haskins scored a rushing touchdown, Quentin Johnston had 186 receiving yards, and DJ Chark Jr. and Will Dissly both scored touchdowns.
On defense, the Chargers had an interception but no sacks. The Chargers’ offense rolled on through, while the defense held the Raiders’ rushing attack to a combined 39 yards on the ground as they got charged up for their NFL playoff run.
Los Angeles Rams: B-
The Rams may have won the NFC West, but they lost a very competitive final regular season game, 25-30, against the Seattle Seahawks. Jimmy Garoppolo threw two touchdowns against an interception, Ronnie Rivers had 48 rushing yards, Jordan Whittington had 86 receiving yards, and Tyler Johnson and Tyler Higbee both scored touchdowns. On defense, the Rams had two sacks but no interceptions.
The Rams rested a good number of their starters for their upcoming playoff game at home. However, it would’ve been nice to see the Rams eke out a victory over their NFC West foes.
Miami Dolphins: D+
The Dolphins had a rough finish to the 2024 season, losing 20-32 against the New York Jets. Tyler Huntley threw a touchdown against two interceptions, De’Von Achane scored a rushing touchdown, and Jonnu Smith scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Dolphins had three sacks and an interception.
The Dolphins also saw their playoff aspirations get dashed as the Broncos secured the seventh seed in the AFC Playoffs while the Dolphins got ready for the 2025 offseason.
Minnesota Vikings: D
The Vikings had a rough night in the Motor City, losing 9-31 against the Detroit Lions and the one-seed to the NFC playoffs. Sam Darnold threw no touchdowns or interceptions, Cam Akers rushed for 65 yards, and Justin Jefferson had 54 receiving yards. On defense, the Vikings had two sacks and two interceptions.
Although the Vikings’ defense put up a solid fight, the offense looked shaky at times and needs to step up as the five-seed in the playoffs.
New England Patriots: C+
The Patriots finished their disastrous 2024 season on a high note with a 23-16 victory over the Buffalo Bills. Joe Milton III threw a touchdown pass and scored a rushing touchdown, Antonio Gibson had 41 rushing yards, and Kayshon Boutte had 117 receiving yards. On defense, the Patriots had no sacks or interceptions.
Even though the Patriots won against their AFC East rivals, they lost the first overall draft pick for the 2025 NFL Draft and fired head coach Jerod Mayo immediately after the game. When the coaching hot seat burns out of control, there is only one outcome. Time for the Patriots to find their next head coach and continue rebuilding.
New Orleans Saints: C-
The Saints put up a good fight against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but lost 19-27 against their NFC South foes. Spencer Rattler threw a touchdown against an interception, the Saints’ rushing attack was held to a combined 26 yards, Juwan Johnson had 80 receiving yards, and Dante Pettis scored the team’s only touchdown. On defense, the Saints had a sack and interception.
The Saints struggled in the second half of the game. They have to prioritize finding a new head coach, re-signing key players, adding new talent to the team, and having a successful time at the 2025 NFL Draft.
New York Giants: D
The Giants’ 2024 season has come to an end in a 13-20 loss on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. Drew Lock threw a touchdown against an interception, Tyrone Tracy Jr. rushed for 59 yards, and Malik Nabers scored a touchdown. On defense, the Giants had two sacks but no interceptions. Outside of Nabers, the Giants had a rough afternoon in “The City of Brotherly Love” as the Eagles swarmed all over them throughout the game.
The Giants head into the 2025 offseason with a lot of rebuilding to accomplish. However, head coach Brian Daboll will be back on the sidelines for the 2025 season.
New York Jets: B+
The Jets had a brutal 2024 NFL season but were able to finish the season on a positive note, winning 32-20 against the Miami Dolphins. Aaron Rodgers (who may have played his last game as a Jet and potentially as an NFL quarterback) threw four touchdowns against an interception, Breece Hall rushed for 57 yards and scored a receiving touchdown, and Tyler Conklin, Allen Lazard, and Davante Adams each scored touchdowns.
On defense, the Jets had four sacks, two interceptions, and two fumble recoveries. The Jets played spoiler against the Dolphins and prevented them from heading into the 2024-25 playoffs, and they have opened up a nice spot on their couch to watch the playoff action. As for the 2025 offseason, it’s time for the Jets to consider finding a new head coach and general manager and righting the ship for a fresh 2025 regular season.
Philadelphia Eagles: C+
The Eagles may have rested their starters, but they still managed to win 20-13 against the New York Giants. Tanner McKee threw two touchdowns with no interceptions, the Eagles rushing attack was held to a combined 51 yards, and Ainias Smith and E.J. Jenkins both scored touchdowns. On defense, the Eagles had an interception but no sacks.
Although it sucked not seeing Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, A.J. Brown, or Jalen Hurts out on the field, the Eagles need their starters to be healthy for the upcoming playoffs, and their backups helped the team finish the regular season on a positive note.
Pittsburgh Steelers: C
The Steelers played a close yet sloppy game, losing 17-19 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Russell Wilson threw a touchdown with no interceptions, Najee Harris scored a rushing touchdown, and Pat Freiermuth scored a receiving touchdown. On defense, the Steelers had four sacks and an interception.
Although the Steelers’ defense held their own, the team’s offense has a lot of improvements to make before the playoffs begin. Otherwise, it’ll be another one and done in the Wildcard round of the NFL playoffs.
San Francisco 49ers: D
The 2024 San Francisco 49ers season is over, as the team lost 24-47 against the Arizona Cardinals on the road. Joshua Dobbs threw two touchdowns against two interceptions and scored a rushing touchdown, Patrick Taylor Jr. rushed for 109 yards, and Kyle Juszczyk and Ricky Pearsall both scored receiving touchdowns.
On defense, the 49ers had no sacks or interceptions. It was an ugly loss to end the injury-plagued season the 49ers have endured. The team heads into the 2025 offseason with things to fix and decisions to make about players to release and/ or re-sign for a hopeful future.
Seattle Seahawks: A-
Even though the Seahawks have been eliminated from playoff contention, the team finished the 2024 regular season on a positive note, winning 30-25 against the Los Angeles Rams. Geno Smith threw four touchdowns with no interceptions, Zach Charbonnet rushed for 59 yards, and Jake Bobo, Noah Fant, DK Metcalf, and AJ Barner each scored touchdowns.
On defense, the Seahawks had three sacks and an interception.
With this win from the Seahawks, they could’ve easily made some noise in the playoffs as a Wildcard contender or as winners of the NFC West, but the team was eliminated in week 17. Regardless, the Seahawks need to keep this core intact for the 2025 season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: B+
The Buccaneers started their divisional match-up against the New Orleans Saints on a slow note but managed to turn things around in the second half, winning 27-19 and securing the NFC South crown and their ticket for the playoffs. Baker Mayfield threw two touchdowns against an interception, Bucky Irving scored a rushing touchdown, Mike Evans had 89 receiving yards, and Jalen McMillan and Payne Durham both scored touchdowns.
On defense, the Bucs had two sacks but no interceptions. A great game for the Bucs, as Mike Evans tied Jerry Rice as the second wide receiver to have 11 straight 1,000 receiving-yard seasons in the NFL. The Bucs now have to get themselves prepared for their Wildcard playoff match-up against the Washington Commanders coming to town.
Tennessee Titans: D
The Titans 2024 season is finally over, as the team lost 14-23 against the Houston Texans. Will Levis threw a touchdown with no interceptions, Tony Pollard rushed for 62 yards, Calvin Ridley had 76 receiving yards, and Tay Martin scored the team’s only touchdown in the fourth quarter. On defense, the Titans had a fumble recovery and a sack.
It may be the time to put the Will Levis experiment into the rearview mirror, as the team needs to consider a new quarterback. However, the Titans do have the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and they need to use that pick wisely.
Washington Commanders: B+
The Commanders played a solid yet competitive battle against the Dallas Cowboys, winning 23-19 against their NFC East rivals. Marcus Mariota threw two touchdowns and scored a rushing touchdown, and Terry McLaurin and Zach Ertz each scored receiving touchdowns. On defense, the Commanders had two sacks but no interceptions.
The Commanders’ passing attack is lethal, but Brian Robinson Jr. is in a slump and has to get out of it if the Commanders want to have a successful playoff run.
