It has been a long time since we have seen Patrick Mahomes play so terribly during a huge game.
Now, we may have an answer as to why he picked the Super Bowl to do it.
The Eagles’ defense harassed Mahomes, shut down everyone else, and then took a huge lead with a massive defensive play in the first half.
The Eagles were up 24-0 at halftime, and Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was just 6-of-14 passing for 33 yards and two interceptions, including a pick-six.

Philadelphia Eagles DC Had Never Beaten Patrick Mahomes Until The Super Bowl
Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio had the game of his life against Mahomes.
His history against him is well documented, as he was 0-8 against Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
In one game, he changed everything.
Fangio’s defense destroyed him all game long, and they did not have to blitz him once.
In the end, Mahomes finished the Super Bowl 21-of-32 passing for 257 yards and three touchdowns, but much of his damage was done late in the fourth quarter when the Eagles had already taken their foot off the gas.
Mahomes also threw two interceptions, one of them was returned for a touchdown by Cooper DeJean.
