The chairman of the FCC, Brendan Carr, has made a plea to Kendrick Lamar and the NFL ahead of today’s Super Bowl halftime show.
The rapper has plenty of people on edge, none more so than rival Drake, as he’s expected to perform his hit diss track “Not Like Us.”
The Federal Communication Commission will be closely monitoring the event, but Carr doesn’t appear to have any concerns about whether or not Kendrick performs the controversial song, as long as there is no nudity involved.
“This is going to be the first Super Bowl where I’m chairman of the FCC,” he said during an appearance on FOX News. “So one ask I have — please no wardrobe malfunctions this Sunday. That’s my only ask. That would ruin my evening.”
Kendrick Lamar Should Have A Malfunction-Free Set
Carr was sworn in as FCC chairman last year, having served as a commissioner since 2017.
He was, of course, referencing Janet Jackson’s nip slip from her halftime show with Justin Timberlake from 21 years ago.

But it does kinda sound like he was asking for a malfunction.
As for Lamar, he will be performing alongside SZA tonight; we don’t anticipate any such tricks.
