NFL fans did not enjoy Al Michaels and Tony Dungy’s work during the remarkable comeback game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday night.
The first round of the playoffs has been an absolute thrill so far and it’s not quite done yet as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys are yet to clash. That game is set for tonight.
Anyhoo, Michaels and Dungy were ripped by fans for their lackluster coverage of Saturday’s comeback exhibit. The game was the most exciting one to come from the Wild Card round but it simply wasn’t done justice as the pair sucked all the energy out of it.
Fans were likely happy to not have to listen to their colorless commentary when the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night. Just imagine how poorly the Bengals’ 98-yard fumble return that ultimately proved the deciding factor would have gone down had they been on the job at the time.
Well, you don’t actually have to imagine; there’s a video right below showing you how.
Of course, we know Michaels and Dungy are a lot better than the snoozefest they put on display this weekend. Let’s hope they return to their standards on their next outing.
