Jenna Laine, an ESPN reporter, found herself on the end of some criticism for her actions after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were beaten by the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15.
The Bengals ran out to a 34-23 victory as Joe Burrow threw 27/39 for 200 yards and four touchdowns.
Following an interview with Bucs running back Giovani Bernard, Laine posted a video of herself and two other reporters hounding the player as they tried to get an answer for a mistake he made during the game.
Bernard appeared to be angry and flustered but would take full responsibility for the crucial play, repeating “I messed up” in response to all of their questions.
Laine has since experienced major backlash from fans online but kept defending her actions days later. However, on Wednesday night, she took to Twitter to apologize for her behavior.

Fans aren’t buying it, though…
“Only apologizing because your afraid of losing your job,” one wrote.
“No. I’m not. And I don’t say that with snark,” Jenna shot back. “I’m very thankful to have people who believe in me and support me, despite being a very imperfect person.”
“After watching you defend your actions – comment by comment the past 4 days…? there is a work supervisor that forced this,” another fan added “…but glad they forced you to step back and view the situation with clarity. Your own coachable moment will make you a better reporter.”
Another user countered: “It’s amazing how many people cannot accept a sincere apology. One of the biggest issues with society today is the inability to forgive.”
Laine will be covering the Buccaneers’ Christmas Day fixture against the Arizona Cardinals, so she will have an opportunity to apologize to Bernard in person.
