Football fans were saying the same thing about new Carolina Panthers head coach Chris Tabor after a viral video of him resurfaced.
On Monday, Panthers owner David Tepper announced that he had fired head coach Frank Reich following a 17-10 road loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. The Panthers own football’s worst record at 1-10 and just clinched their fifth straight season with double-digit loses.
Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor was named the Panthers’ interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Tabor joined the Panthers in that role last year after spending the previous four years with the Chicago Bears.

Tabor was a special teams assistant coach for the Bears from 2008 to 2010 before joining the Cleveland Browns, where he served as their special teams coordinator from 2011 to 2017. He then joined Matt Nagy’s staff with the Bear in 2018.
This is the second straight year in which the Panthers fired a coach midseason, and already the third time in five years. Ron Rivera was fired in 2019 and replaced with Perry Fewell for the last four games.
A year ago, Matt Rhule was fired after a 1-4 start and replaced with Steve Wilks, who guided the team to a 6-6 finish.
