Everyone is saying the same thing about legendary sports commentator Al Michaels during the Houston Texans-Cleveland Browns AFC Wild Card Game on Saturday.
In a surprise move, NBC took Michaels off of their postseason coverage for NFL Super Wild Card Weekend. Though Michaels left NBC and joined Amazon Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football” program in 2022, his old employer brought him back to call the Jacksonville Jaguars-Los Angeles Chargers playoff game last year.
Instead of bringing Michaels back again, NBC assigned Noah Eagle and Todd Blackledge to one wild card game, with Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth set to call the other.
Needless to say, football fans are missing Michaels’ legendary voice for this year’s playoff coverage:

Indeed, it does not at all feel the same without Michaels on the NFL postseason coverage.
