Last month, Buffalo Bills running back Damien Harris was taken off the field in an ambulance that paid tribute to a teammate who collapsed and almost died in a game last season.
Hamlin’s jersey number could be seen on the window.
Fast forward to this month and safety Taylor Rapp had to be put on a stretcher and taken off in an ambulance as cameras caught Hamlin’s reaction on the sidelines as he looked on.
As Rapp left the field, it became noticeable that Damar Hamlin’s number was no longer on the ambulance window like before.
Fans were left in shock.

Bills safety Taylor Rapp was not taken to the hospital, according to the CBS broadcast, and remained in the locker room for evaluation. Bills coach Sean McDermott said it was his understanding that Rapp was back at home, “which is a good thing.”
For Hamlin, he has played in one game this year so far and delivered with one tackle.
Earlier this year, his heart stopped during an NFL game after a tackle that saw him collapse to the ground. His return to the field has been nothing short of remarkable.
