Adidas has reportedly filed a trademark for a “PM” logo, which appears to be used for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Josh Gerben noted the trademark on Twitter, but Adidas nor Mahomes have made any statement on the logo.
The leaked image shows the all-black “PM” logo in the shape of Mahomes initials, which according to the trademark document, will soon be used on Adidas “gym bags, duffel bags, backpacks, knapsack, waist packs, tote bags” and footwear and apparel including “tops as clothing, bottoms as clothing, shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, jackets, pants, shorts and headwear.”
Once the logo hit social media, people started making comparisons to everything from the Vegas Golden Knights’ primary logo to cartoonish tridents to a hammer and sickle to the helmet of Marvel’s Loki.

“I am trying to build an empire off the field in every way,” Mahomes told Brian Sozzi of Yahoo Finance Presents. “I watch a lot of the great athletes that came before me and they found ways to build their empire and to build themselves up off the field, so I am trying to do that as much as possible.”
