Over 100 million people are expected to tune in to watch Super Bowl 58 on Sunday, but the MVP has zero plans to do so.
Jackson, who earned unanimous MVP honors in 2019, earned 49 of a possible 50 first-place votes this year to win it yet again.
The Ravens came up a game short of clinching a spot in the Super Bowl when they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs at M&T Bank Stadium. They seemed destined to pull off a run to the Super Bowl but Patrick Mahomes and company made sure it would not happen on their watch.
Jackson was asked by the NFL Network’s Taylor Bisciotti after the 13th annual “NFL Honors” awards show whether he would catch this year’s Super Bowl and he stated he would be missing it.
“Too raw, I’m good,” Jackson said. “I don’t wanna watch the game.”

The All-Pro is the 11th player to win multiple MVP awards, and he is the second youngest to win the award a second time.
Jackson beat out four other players, including two who are playing in the Super Bowl, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and running back Christian McCaffrey, who was named Offensive Player of the Year.
After 16 regular-season games, Jackson finished with career highs in completion percentage (67.2%), passing yards (3,678) and yards per attempt (8.0).
A poor playoff record tied in with poor performances has left the Baltimore Ravens on the outside looking in yet again.
