The Buffalo Bills and their fans are in for a very cold experience as Sunday’s playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers is expected to be played under snowy conditions.
Travel to and from the game is expected to be difficult to near impossible, while a wind chill of zero degrees should make things uncomfortable for fans. However, the NFL hasn’t opted to make any changes as it monitors conditions.
Given the predicted freezing temperature and high winds, the Bills have taken battery-heated clothing off their prohibited list, with Highmark Stadium to allow fans to come in with said items, much to their relief.

This would change my life,” one Reddit user said in response to the announcement. “I was kicked out last season for my vest so we started hiding them in our mittens. 2 weeks ago some chick took a stick and poked my mitten to death- I didn’t have it in there but I thought I would have been booted again if I did.”
Ellie Ryan, the manager at a Snowflake Ski Shop, has informed fans that there is heated gear available, though batteries would have to be taken out during security checks at the stadium.
“We have vests. We have socks. We have gloves,” Ryan advises. “The only stipulation would be that you have to take the battery out when you go through security, and put it along with your phone.

Gear from the aforementioned store can go up to 150 degrees Fahrenheit and maintain warmth for up to 4.5 hours.
