The Houston Texans tricked everybody for the past few weeks. It seemed as if they would pass on selecting a QB and take a defensive player at No. 2 instead.
Even though Stroud was supposed to be the star, his sister also stole the show along with his mom.
The official Ohio State Football Twitter account posted a photo of all three looking good just before the draft.
WSOC-TV journalist DaShawn Brown would also share a photo of the family as well.
“Just caught up with CJ Stroud on the carpet, alongside his mother and sister. He told me he woke up this morning and said a long prayer to God, asking that he’s drafted wherever He wants him to be,” said Brown. “On the look, he’s a fan of colors — hence the paint splashes.”

Here’s how social media responded:
After getting their franchise quarterback in C.J. Stroud, the Houston Texans sent shock waves through the NFL draft on Thursday night, trading up nine spots to select Alabama pass-rusher Will Anderson Jr. with the No. 3 overall pick.
Despite the hefty price tag for the third pick, the Texans have landed two of the top overall draft prospects this year for first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Stroud joins a quarterback group for the Texans that includes Case Keenum, Davis Mills, and E.J. Perry. In free agency, the Texans added Perry and Keenum, while Mills started 15 games the previous year.
Last season, Mills posted a 3-10-1 record as Houston’s starter and threw 15 interceptions, tied with Dallas’ Dak Prescott for the most in the NFL.
In two seasons as Ohio State’s starter, Stroud passed for 8,123 yards and 85 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.
