Football fans had a lot to say after ESPN’s Mel Kiper offered an interesting hot take on North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye.
For a while, Maye was widely regarded as the second-best QB prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft class behind USC’s Caleb Williams. But now, more scouts and analysts believe 2023 Heisman Trophy winner and LSU star Jayden Daniels will be selected before Maye
Kiper took it a step further on ESPN “First Draft” by suggesting that Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy has a chance to “overtake Drake Maye”, with the national championship-winning QB potentially going in the top 10:

Williams going first overall to the Chicago Bears feels like a virtual lock at this point. If the Washington Commanders use the No. 2 pick on Daniels, then it becomes anybody’s guess where Maye could fall.
