Former U.S. soccer star Megan Rapinoe has a bold claim about the status of Colin Kaepernick.
The American soccer legend has high hopes for the former NFL quarterback, and they involve the Olympics four years from now.
Rainoe was on the “A Touch More” podcast with Sue Bird when she stated that former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick would be perfect to represent the country.
“Oh God, he would be so good in flag football. I mean he would be so good in the NFL, let’s just be clear about that. He is still being blackballed from the NFL right now,” Rapinoe said. “I think it would be awesome.
“I would love to see Colin be able to represent America in an Olympics. I think that would be an unbelievably special moment.
Rapinoe even took it further when she stated Colin Kaepernick should be the flag bearer to reppresent the entire country in Los Angeles.
“He’s my flag bearer. I think that would be really incredible to have that representation of America also be front and center at an Olympics. That would be really cool.”

Colin Kaepernick Makes Another Attempt To Get Back In The NFL
Last week, Colin Kaepernick, who has been out of the league since the 2016 season, told Sky Sports that he’s still hoping for a return to the league.
“We’re still training, still pushing,” Kaepernick said when asked if we will see him in the NFL again. “So, hopefully, we’ve just got to get one of these team owners to open up.”
Kaepernick was then asked what it would mean to him to play in the NFL again.
“I mean, it’s something I’ve trained my whole life for,” Kaepernick said. “So to be able to step back on the field, I think that would be a major moment, a major accomplishment for me. Also, I think it’s something that I could bring a lot to a team and help them win a championship.”
The last opportunity Colin Kaepernick received was a workout with the Las Vegas Raiders in May 2022. That came during the same year he had a public workout at halftime of Michigan’s spring game.
