NFL fans are praying for Minnesota Vikings quarterback JJ McCarthy after the devastating announcement that he’ll miss the entire 2024 season after undergoing knee surgery.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, JJ McCarthy underwent surgery to fully repair a torn meniscus he suffered on his right knee. Unfortunately, the highly-touted Michigan product will be sidelined for his entire rookie season.
Rapoport noted that the full repair in the meniscus “gives McCarthy the best chance at a log, successful career.” With McCarthy sidelines, veteran Sam Darnold will open the 2024 season as Minny’s starting quarterback.
