NFL fans exploded with rage after Apple released an insane price for Sunday Ticket for the upcoming 2024 NFL season.
It is now available to purchase through the Apple App Store, but it will cost fans even more money they do not have during a time of heavy inflation.
John Ourand of Puck.com broke it down to state that consumers who sign up through the YouTube app on their iPhone or iPad will pay $679.99 annually, while customers who want to bundle NFL Sunday Ticket with NFL RedZone will pay $739.99 annually.
The prices were so high that Ourand reached out to the league to find out why the prices were so enormous.
The league said, “The NFL does not control the pricing of Sunday Ticket and does not set or receive any additional fees associated with its sale.”
Ourand also mentioned that Apple is taking a 30 percent cut of everything sold in their store.

Sunday Ticket in 2023 was less than $400, so these new prices are nearly double what fans were paying if they chose the NFL RedZone package.
Fans were understandably upset to see these prices continue to rise for the country’s most popular sport.

This news comes weeks after U.S. District Court Judge Philip Gutierrez shocked everyone when he overturned a federal jury’s $4.7 billion judgment in favor of plaintiffs in the NFL Sunday Ticket case.
The verdict came amid a jury ruling the league owed fans and bars after being overcharged for their service.
U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez reversed it because the jury couldn’t find “class-wide injury or damages” during the trial.
