NFL fans were heartbroken over Khyree Jackson’s last social media post, with the Minnesota Vikings cornerback taking to Instagram to share several photos shortly before his death.
Jackson, who was 24, was the victim of a fatal car crash that occurred in Maryland during the wee hours of Saturday morning.
He was with two friends, Anthony Lytton and Isaiah Hazel, who also lost their lives. The three of them played together on the same high school team.
The CB celebrated his successful year by posting to IG hours before he passed, sharing images from vacation, traveling, and his workouts with the Vikings, which he captioned “Mmmhmmm.”
The post has attracted several emotional comments since the news of his untimely death.
“Rest easy Khyree, I’m sorry for what happened to you. You were wrongfully taken too soon,” a user wrote. “I honestly hate how someone who worked so hard to accomplish their dreams can just suddenly lose everything because of another persons poor actions of speeding whilst being under the influence. Makes me sick to my stomach. I hope you find peace in the afterlife #31 💜💛

“rest easy superstar 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 s*** really unbelievable,” another wrote.
“damn khyree we was ready to see you on that field😔💔,” a third lamented.
“RIP you just crushed alot of people slim💔,” said a fourth.
Khyree Jackson’s Path To The NFL Was Unique
Khyree Jackson’s death is especially troubling as he fought his way to the NFL after quitting football and working at a grocery deli between 2017 and 2018. He returned to the game to eventually star for Oregon before being drafted by the Vikings.
“You got the best corner, by far,” he said to Vikings general manager Kwesi Asofo-Mensah on the phone after he was selected in the fourth round. “Imma show you, day one.”
That fans will never get to see him show what he’s made of in the pros is terrible.
