Football fans are saying the same thing about former NFL defensive and current CBS analyst JJ Watt after a photo surfaced of him looking as shredded as ever.
The 35-year-old JJ Watt retired from football after the 2022 season. In his 11-year career, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year registered 114.5 sacks, 70 pass breakups and 27 forced fumbles.
Watt was still performing like a star when he retired, and he admitted during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” earlier this year that he strongly considered coming out of retirement to join his brother TJ Watt and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
JJ Watt posted a photo of his physique on X/Twitter, and let’s just say he hasn’t used retirement as an excuse to stay out of the gym. As you can see, Watt looks like somebody who’s in prime NFL game shape:

There’s no shortage of NFL legends who decided to continue playing after initially retiring. This included Tom Brady (his first retirement was only 40 days long), Rob Gronkowski, Marshawn Lynch, Deion Sanders, Randy Moss, Brett Favre and Jason Witten.
JJ Watt Would Draw Plenty Of Interest
If he were to come out of retirement, the future Hall of Fame inductee would surely garner interest from several teams.
JJ Watt was a star in his final season with the Arizona Cardinals two years ago, tallying 12.5 sacks and seven pass defenses in 16 games. He also recorded 25 quarterback hits and 18 tackles for loss.
If he were to continue playing, Watt would surely prefer a Super Bowl contender. Teams in win-now mode like the Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens all make sense for Watt.
