Aaron Rodgers is experiencing Deja vu, but this time, he is hoping that things play out much differently.
It’s clear that the New York Jets had a difficult 2023 season due to injuries to every member of the club and Aaron Rodgers. They do, however, anticipate returning to the title conversation in 2024. Having a quarterback who has been named MVP four times will do that for your club.
The New York Jets will visit the San Francisco 49ers to take on the reigning NFC champions on September 9 on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football,” marking the start of Aaron Rodgers’ return season in prime time, it was revealed Tuesday morning.
This will be the second straight season that Rodgers will return to the Monday night opener, and things are not looking good for him.
It was later pointed out that Leonard Floyd, the player who sacked him, resulting in his torn Achilles in 2023, is now playing for the 49ers.

The game will air on ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, and ESPN Deportes.
The seasons that the two clubs experienced last year could not have been more dissimilar; following Rodgers’ signing in the 2023 offseason, which created a lot of buzz, the 40-year-old great suffered an Achilles injury on the fourth play of the season. The Jets persevered and managed to conclude the season with a commendable 7–10 record.

The Niners, on the other hand, advanced to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas by narrowly defeating the Packers and Lions after winning the NFC West. They ultimately suffered an overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Aaron Rodgers Thought The 49ers Would Draft Him
Rodgers knows the dark side of the NFL Draft better than anyone else. Fans love the draft for its drama and inspirational stories, believing their favorite team will instantly improve thanks to a few superb draft picks.
In 2005, Rodgers was a strong-armed quarterback prospect out of California. Before the draft, Rodgers was confident that the team would draft him. He supported and grew up near the San Francisco 49ers, who possessed the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.
The team took Alex Smith instead.
“How disappointed are you that you will not be a 49er?” Rodgers was asked in 2005, via Sports Illustrated.
“Not as disappointed as the 49ers will be that they didn’t draft me,” replied Rodgers.
