The lucky fan who caught the Super Bowl winning football on Sunday will sell it if he gets the right offer.
Eamonn Dixon of Fitzroy North, Australia caught the football that came off of Harrison Butker’s foot in the waning seconds of Super Bowl 57. Butker’s field goal clinched the Kansas City Chiefs their second Super Bowl championship in four years.
And it was all caught on camera…
“I was filming because I was just trying to film this historic moment anyway – him kicking the field goal was huge. And then it sort of just drifted over the net, and luckily I held onto my phone and the ball.”
“Everyone was asking for photos with me and giving me high-fives. I shoved it in my friend’s bag and we got ushered towards the exit and, all of a sudden, I was out in the carpark. It was just all a bit of a blur.”
While speaking to 9News Melbourne, Dixon recounted the moment where he captured the prized possession. When asked about the value, Dixon said he’s unsure.

In a separate interview with “Today Show” co-host Karl Stefanovic (h/t the Daily Mail), Dixon added that he would sell the football for the right price.
Given the market of Super Bowl memorabilia, it’s safe to say that Dixon would comfortably take home six figures if he decided to put the football on the market. Footballs for a game-winning Super Bowl play aren’t available very often, after all.
Butker’s game-winning field goal was set up by a controversial holding penalty on James Bradberry against JuJu Smith-Schuster which gave Kansas City a fresh set of downs. The penalty allowed the Chiefs to melt most of the remaining clock time, setting the stage for Butker to play hero on the grandest of stages.
