The Washington Commanders fan base has never been more excited about their team than they are right now, and it’s not because they think the team can get to the Super Bowl.
With Dan Snyder finally selling the franchise, the fan base actually has hope for the future and they are showing their excitement by coming out to watch training camp practice. However, the country has been under an intense heat wave and at least one fan felt the pain.
On Friday, one Commanders fan felt the heat to the point where they needed medical attention.
Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala stated the fan had a “medical incident” that may have been weather-related. Team personnel as well as paramedics tended to that person.
Luckily, that fan appeared to be okay. No word on if the fan went back out to watch the remaining practice.

The Commanders finished 8-8-1 last year, missed the playoffs, and are not expected to contend for their division title this season. However, it’s not so much about this upcoming season but seasons that follow that have everybody thinking this ownership change was the best for everybody going forward.
The biggest question the team has right now is at quarterback. Taylor Heinicke started 15 games for the Commanders in 2022, but he is not a long-term answer for the position. The Commanders drafted Sam Howell in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but he is clearly a project and not the answer either.
On defense, the Commanders have a lot of talent. Chase Young is one of the best young pass rushers in the NFL, and Montez Sweat is another good pass rusher.
The Commanders have a lot of potential to make some noise in a few years if they solve their issue at quarterback.
