Sunday was a very sad day for one man and his family after he plunged to his death from an escalator inside the stadium in Pittsburgh shortly after the New York Jets beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Police and EMS responded to the incident inside Acrisure Stadium.
Paramedics administered care on the scene and transported the man in critical condition to a local hospital, but he would soon lose his life.
Less than 24 hours later, that man would be identified.
“The Pittsburgh Steelers fan who died after falling from an escalator at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday has been identified as 27-year-old Dalton Keane from Monaca, Pennsylvania, officials said Monday,” Steelers Now reports.
A Steelers spokesman released a statement on the tragic accident.

“We are aware of an unfortunate incident that occurred inside Acrisure Stadium today,” Steelers team spokesperson Burt Lauten said. “We are working with local authorities and helping their investigation into the matter. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to the guest’s family.”
An investigation is opening up regarding the incident as Pittsburgh Public Safety noted “the Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene, and VCU is heading the investigation.”
