Police are investigating the death of a football supporter at Gillette Stadium after he collapsed while watching the New England Patriots take on the Miami Dolphins.
Apparently, the fan had a heart attack and a firefighter nearby administered CPR saving his life for the time being.
The male fan reportedly died later on at the hospital.
“A Patriots spectator had a medical emergency at Gillette Stadium and died after the Sunday night game, according to the Massachusetts State Police,” Mass Live reports.
“The man, who was in his 50s, had been watching the Patriots-Dolphins game from the 308 through 310 sections at the stadium in Foxborough, police said. Police have not yet released his name.”
Massachusetts State Police said investigators are looking into “facts and circumstances of the man’s death, including the sequence of events prior to the medical incident.”
In a separate incident earlier in the game, a fan received medical attention but survived.

The Patriots fell to the Dolphins, 24-17, in Week 2 of the 2023 NFL regular season on Sunday.
Quarterback Mac Jones completed 31 of 42 pass attempts for 231 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He added 25 rushing yards on five attempts.
