Falcons Player Jake Matthews Arrives Just One Hour Before TNF Kickoff After Birth Of Child (VIDEO)

Jake Matthews is having a very busy Thursday.

The Atlanta Falcons tackle had a busier than expected on Thursday ahead of his team’s matchup vs. the Panthers. On Thursday morning, Matthews flew back to Atlanta from Charlotte because his wife went into labor. Meggi delivered a baby boy by that afternoon.

Even though the tackle was questionable before the game because of his last-minute flight back to Atlanta, he would eventually make it back in time for the game. The Falcons posted a video of a Matthews in shorts and a T-shirt jogging down the tunnel at Bank of America Stadium.

I’m told Falcons owner Arthur Blank is picking him LT Jake Matthews in Gainesville, Ga and bringing him with him to Charlotte. He is expected to play tonight vs. Panthers.
