As expected, there are a ton of teams who would like to secure Julio Jones on their roster for next season to better help their Super Bowl chances.
According to Dianna Russini, the Falcons have discussed several trade offers for Julio Jones. She added one of those offers included a future first-round pick.
Russini mentioned Titans players recruiting Jones on social media, and confirmed the Falcons have spoken with them. They’re still in the mix but Russini says as of now they’re a “long shot” to land Jones.
According to Over The Cap, the Falcons would incur a dead money hit of $23.25 million for trading Jones before June 1, but only $7.75 million in dead money after that date as well as $15.3 million in cap savings.
The 32-year-old Jones made his future clear when he told Shannon Sharpe on Undisputed that he wanted out from the organization.
