It was shockingly revealed earlier this week that Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was one of several Cowboys players who tested positive for coronavirus. He wasn’t happy that the news got out, and for good reason.
Not long after the positive test, Elliott’s mother, Dawn, took to Twitter and shared a heartbreaking response Zeke’s father received on Facebook from a deranged fan.
“COVID couldn’t have happened to a bigger scumbag. Well deserved. This news made my day, season and year,” someone wrote to Elliott’s father about his son’s diagnosis.

Unfortunately, fans like this are in every sport, but at least Dawn did everybody the favor of putting him on blast to show off his real character.
Elliott finished the 2019 season with 1,357 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns to go along with 54 receptions for 420 receiving yards.
The Cowboys are hoping he can bring those same numbers into 2020 and get this franchise back into the postseason.
