The Dallas Cowboys gave former fan favorite and star running back Ezekiel Elliott a heartwarming tribute before kickoff against the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon.
Elliott played for the Cowboys from 2016 to 2022, where he won two rushing titles (2016 and 2018) while helping them to playoff berths in 2016, 2018, 2021 and 2022. He signed with the Patriots this past offseason after Dallas cut him in a cap-saving move.
Ahead of the Pats-Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium, America’s Team welcomed back “Zeke” with a moving video tribute. Elliott, of course, also received a loud ovation from the Cowboys faithful:
In seven years with Dallas, Prescott had 8,262 rushing yards and 68 rushing scores.
