The 2019 NFL season is looming near and the Dallas Cowboys would certainly want all of their players on board.
On Tuesday, Pro Football Talk reported that the Cowboys were closing in on an extension with their star running back, which they claimed was a six-year deal worth $90M.
“More likely than not, the Cowboys and running back Ezekiel Elliot will get a new deal done today. The rumors of a done deal already are commencing.
The chatter as of this moment in knowledgeable league circles is that the team and the player have come to terms on a six-year, $90 million extension. A source with directly knowledge of the situation tells PFT that the deal is not yet done, but that it’s close.”
Soon after, it was reported Zeke and his agent would be flying back from Cabo to Dallas, just in case his deal was going to finish.
Well, here’s the photo proof of Elliott on board a flight getting ready to take off.

Elliott has been absent since training camp began in July and the Cowboys front office had previously offered the two-time Pro Bowler a contract that would make him the second-highest paid running back in the league. That wasn’t good enough.
If Elliott is on his way back, then the Cowboys have certainly made their offer better, especially on the guaranteed side, which is the only side the player really cares about.
Elliot is slated to make $3.85 million in 2019 and $9.1 million in 2020 if he doesn’t receive a new deal.
