The never-ending saga between the Dallas Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott continues on for another day.
The franchise has been working tirelessly to give their disgruntled running back what he wants, but not at the expense of the team not being able to pay other players and keeping the team competitive.
Zeke and his agent don’t seem to care, because after rejecting their latest contract offer, it seems his contract demands have been made clear.
He wants to be the top earning running back in the entire league.
That seems pretty clear that Elliott won’t be returning back from Cabo unless he gets what he wants. Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones have already stated their unwillingness to set the market for contracts regarding Amari Cooper, Dak Prescott, and Ezekiel Elliott, meaning they don’t plan on making them the top earners at their positions no matter what.
This holdout with Zeke just might extend a longtime into the regular season. A loss here and there could change Jerry Jones’ mind real quick.
