Ezekiel Elliott waited and waited, but he ultimately got what he wanted.
The announcement came down on Wednesday morning that the Dallas Cowboys had finally signed their disgruntled running back to a massive deal that will keep him with the franchise for years to come.
The Cowboys signed Zeke to a six-year extension worth $90 million with $50 million guaranteed, surpassing the four-year $60 million extension handed down to Todd Gurley by the Los Angeles Rams two years ago.
Soon after the announcement, Elliott took to Twitter and reacted like so:
Elliott rushed for 1,434 yards and six touchdowns while adding a team-high 77 receptions for 567 yards and three scores out of the backfield in 2018.
The Cowboys and Giants are set to face off on a divisional battle this Sunday to open their season.
