Veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott sure looks good in New England Patriots’ colors.
On Friday, the two-time rushing champion posted a series of images of himself wearing Patriots’ gear and their main home navy uniforms. Check it out:
Elliott was released by the Dallas Cowboys in a cap-saving move back in March. After nearly six months on the free agent market, Elliott signed a one-year deal with the Patriots with a base salary of $3 million. The deal carries a max value of $6 million.
Though Elliott saw the most carries in Dallas, Tony Pollard actually finished as Dallas’ leading rusher with 1,007 yards. Dallas unsurprisingly made the decision to keep Pollard as their RB1, having placed the franchise tag on him ahead of free agency.
Elliott will work alongside 2022 1,000-yard rusher Rhamondre Stevenson in New England’s backfield. The Patriots are coming off a second straight losing and non-playoff campaign, but a player of Elliott’s caliber can only help their chances of sneaking back into the postseason.
