Former Dallas Cowboys’ running back Ezekiel Elliott completely changed his appearance as rumors about his next landing spot continue to ramp up.
On Monday, Elliott posted a photo of his brand new appearance. He cut his hair very short and got a nice little trim on his beard. He may be 28 years of age now, but Elliott suddenly looks like his 21-year-old rookie self again:
The two-time rushing champion was released by the Cowboys in a cap-saving move back in March. Here we are in the midst of preseason play, and Elliott surprisingly remains unsigned with Week 1 drawing closer.
Elliott, of course, isn’t the only notable free agent available on the open market. Four-time Pro Bowler Dalvin Cook, 2017 rushing leader Kareem Hunt and two-time 1,000-yard rusher Leonard Fournette remain unsigned.
The 2016 first-round pick visited the New England Patriots last month but left without a deal. Two weeks ago, Dallas owner Jerry ones also stated that a reunion with the former star running back isn’t out of the question.

The Cowboys are moving forward with 1,000-yard rusher Tony Pollard as their RB1, with promising rookie Deuce Vaughn likely to carry RB2 roles. Despite seeing less carries than Elliott last year, Pollard led the Cowboys with 1,007 rushing yards.
Though 2022 was a down year for “Zeke”, he still racked up 876 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in 15 games.
