This is just quite odd.
It seems the relationship between Ezekiel Elliott and Jerry Jones is going to need quite a bit of repairing.
After receiving the richest deal for a running back in NFL history on Wednesday morning, the Dallas Cowboys star running back revealed that he hasn’t talked to Jerry Jones in months. Even after signing his deal.
At the same time Zeke was signing his deal, Jerry Jones was ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
“Honestly, I didn’t talk to Jerry at all,” Elliott said before answering a follow-up question about whether he was eager to talk to the owner. “Uh, I’m happy to talk to him.”
“It’s just negotiations. You’ve got to get through it,” Elliott said. “We’re good.”
Elliott’s agent Rocky Arceneaux stated last month that Jones’ “Zeke who?” comments were disrespectful, to which Jones responded by saying he’s “earned the right” to joke about Elliott.

“I mean, that’s so far behind us,” Elliott said. “We signed a deal, so there’s no point in talking about that other stuff.”
Zeke is now the proud owner of a six-year, $90 million contract extension that gives him $50 million guaranteed.
