Star running backs Ezekiel Elliot and Dalvin Cook both found new teams on Monday following their offseason releases.
The Dallas Cowboys cut ties with Elliot back in March while Cook was released by the Minnesota Vikings in June. But they’ve both landed new homes, with the former joining the New England Patriots and the latter signing with the New York Jets.
The moves are massive ones for both teams, especially the Jets as they have Super Bowl ambitions now that Aaron Rodgers is in their camp.
But the Super Bowl odds haven’t shifted despite the developments as the Pats were +6500 to win it all before coming to terms with Elliot and are still +6500 on the back of it. The case is the same for New York, who are still +1600 following their capture of the four-time Pro Bowler.
Both players are on one-year-deals and will be keen on proving that they’re worth longer contracts given that they’re also both 28.
Elliot is thought to have lost a step after posting a career low in yards per rush attempt at 3.8, however, Cook earned his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl appearance last season.

The former Vikings star won’t be joining the Jets just yet as he’s still a week away from practicing following shoulder surgery earlier this year and is also expecting a baby very soon.
