With the 2024 NFL season right around the corner, the experts at NFL.com have locked in their picks for the award winners, playoff teams and Super Bowl 59 matchup and champion.
Super Bowl 59 will be held on Feb. 11 inside the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Kansas City Chiefs are the defending champions, aiming to complete the first three-peat in Super Bowl history.
On Friday, NFL.com analysts shared their picks for the Super Bowl 59 matchups and champions. Unsurprisingly, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs garnered the most votes to win it all with nine.
The defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers had the second-most votes with five. Two experts had Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers defeating the Chiefs in a rematch of Super Bowl 58, while the other three picked San Fran to beat Joe Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals.
Kevin Patra, Michael Baca and Jeremy Bergman picked the Green Bay Packers to emerge victorious in year two of the Jordan Love era. Bergman is picking a dream Super Bowl 59 showdown between the Packers and New York Jets, led by former Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers.

The Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions each garnered two votes. As for the surprises, the Buffalo Bills (picked by Gregg Rosenthal), Chicago Bears (Adam Rank), Jacksonville Jaguars (Maurice Jones-Drew), Jets (Lance Zierlein) and Philadelphia Eagles (Brendan Walker) each got picked once.
Rank is an admitted Chicago Bears fan, and Jones-Drew was a star running back in Jacksonville from 2006 to 2013. That would explain their bold Super Bowl 59 winner predictions.
Kansas City Chiefs Are The Favorites To Win Super Bowl 59
Unsurprisingly, the back-to-back defending champions are the odds-on favorites to emerge victorious in Super Bowl 59.
It’s a scary thought for 31 other teams, but Kansas City’s offense should be even better than the 2023 group. They added Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown and Xavier Worthy to bolster the WR room before bringing back old friend JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Throw in Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice and arguably football’s best defense, and it’s no wonder the Chiefs enter yet another season as the favorites to win it all.
