Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell’s unpleasant departures in Pittsburgh certainly earned them their fair share of criticism, but they weren’t the only ones receiving backlash throughout this saga.
Some former Steelers have come forward with their own criticisms of how quarterback Ben Roethlisberger handles his team. And the latest to do so is former All-Pro linebacker Joey Porter.
While speaking about the Big Ben-Antonio Brown feud on the NFL Network, Porter said of Roethlisberger, “It’s clear he has the power, and how he uses it? He uses it for him.”
According to PFT, Porter would go on to suggest that the Steelers would be in better shape is Roethlisberger was more popular with his teammates.
I’m sure it won’t be long before a current Steelers player stands up for Ben, only for someone else to come back with more criticism. That seems to be the sequence of events when it comes the Steelers and Roethlisberger’s 2019 offseason.
