Earlier this month, the Seattle Seahawks promptly released a rookie from the squad, which normally wouldn’t make the news, but this guy got released for something non-football related.
The Seattle Seahawks reportedly cut un-drafted rookie Kemah Siverand after he was caught sneaking a woman into a hotel where the team was staying during training camp. Siverand was caught on video attempting to sneak in a female visitor, who was reportedly wearing team gear “in an attempt to disguise her as a player.”
While NFL teams can’t force players to quarantine in hotels amid pandemic fears, isolating teams in hotels during training camp is a relatively normal thing.
It took well over a week, but Siverand has finally spoke out about the situation when he took to Twitter and released a lengthy statement.
Siverand played on both offense and defense at Texas A&M during his freshman and sophomore year. His play time increased as soon as he transferred to Oklahoma State as a junior where he played on the special teams and in the cornerback position.
