On Thursday, we saw a bunch of sports-related April Fools joke, many that were really easily to spot as being fake.
There was one ‘joke’ about Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson that was clearly fake, but it rubbed Torrey Smith the wrong way.
The former NFL wide receiver took to Twitter and posted it while blasting the person who created it.
“Explicit bias is creating an April Fools meme saying Lamar Jackson was arrested. Not traded, not released, not a contract extension but arrested. Even the picture choice says a lot because he “looks like a thug”. The same type of bias happens in the media daily. It’s disgusting!”
The post reads:
“Breaking, Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson arrested last night in Pompano Beach Florida. Sources sat the #Ravens QB is being charged with two accounts of aggravated assault and one account of attempted murder after issues were created between two family members.”
