Back in January, former NFL running back Darren McFadden found himself arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
Upon getting to the scene, officers reportedly found McFadden asleep behind the wheel at a Whataburger drive-thru. McFadden resisting arrest led to him having his drive-side and passenger window being smashed out of his 2019 GMC Yukon.
Six months later and he now knows the jail time he’ll be facing if convicted of his crimes.

“Prosecutors have finally hit Darren McFadden with charges in his wild Whataburger case … charging the ex-NFL star with 2 misdemeanors that carry jail time if he’s convicted.
Now, TMZ Sports has learned prosecutors have finally hit Darren with charges for the altercation — charging him with resisting arrest and DUI with a BAC of greater than or equal to .15.
Both counts are defined as Class A misdemeanors in Texas … which means McFadden is facing up to 2 YEARS behind bars and $8,000 in fines if he’s convicted.”
He is due back in court in October to face the charges.
The Oakland Raiders drafted him with the 4th overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft after he had a stellar career at Arkansas. He would go on to play seven seasons with the Raiders before spending his next three with the Dallas Cowboys.
