Matt Patricia has been the head coach of the Detroit Lions since February 2018, and in just over two years, he seems to be a guy who is extremely un-liked among players.
That was brought to light Darius Slay informed the world of how he lost respect for his former coach upon being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
He wasn’t the only one to speak out, as former Lions tight end Garrett Hudson took to Twitter and called Patricia “the worst person I’ve encountered in my entire football career.”
“I was excited when the Lions cut me,” Hudson said. “It was that bad.”
Hudson also spoke on a situation where Patricia “cussed out (then-rookie) Kerryon Johnson in front of the whole team because he didn’t know what year Ford Field was constructed.”

Hudson added that Patricia “seemed like a nice guy outside meeting (rooms)” and that he was “only there for rookie mini camp, so he probably treats the vets with more respect.”
One only knows if Patricia has already lost the locker room and whether bad feelings towards him exist with current players and how it will affect the franchise going forward.
