Lucky Whitehead might be the most unluckiest player to ever play in the league. During a two week period in 2017, the former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver had all of this happen to him:
– Gets dog kidnapped and held for ransom
– Gets arrested for shoplifting at gas station
– Warrant issued for not appearing in court
– Cut by the Cowboys
– Cops screw up, arrested another guy with last name Whitehead
– Victim of identity theft
– Cowboys refuse to take him back
Now, the former Cowboys WR is back in the news after he was arrested in December and charged with a DUI, driving without a license and failure to use a seat belt, according to TMZ Sports.
During the stop, cops suspected the 26-year-old had been drinking — and asked him to perform a breathalyzer test. Whitehead refused but cops say there was enough evidence to prove he was intoxicated so they arrested him for DUI.
He was hauled to a nearby police station where he was booked for a bunch of charges including DUI, driving without a license and failure to use a seat belt.
He’s due in court next month.
Whitehead remains a free agent since being cut by the New York Jets in 2018.
