The George Floyd protests are giving NFL fans a glimpse into the lives of a bunch of Black players and the extreme realities that they face on a daily basis.
In a conversation between Tyrann Mathieu and former Bronco Brandon Marshall — Steven Nelson chimed in and took the conversation to a new level when he called Kansas City racist.
Nelson was drafted by the Chiefs in the third round of the NFL Draft back in 2015 and played four seasons in Kansas City before he took his talents to the Pittsburgh Steelers last offseason.
Nelson also points out the clouded history some Chiefs fans had with former KC lockdown corner Marcus Peters, who took a knee during the National Anthem as well.
The 27-year-old signed a three-year, $25.5 million deal with Pittsburgh in the 2019 offseason.
