The 2017 Heisman Trophy winner remains unsigned with the free agent period now just five days away. The Buccaneers are still widely regarded as the front-runners to end up with Mayfield, but the clock is ticking on getting a deal done before he can negotiate with other teams.
Mayfield is coming off a career year in which he completed 64.3 percent of his pass attempts for 4,044 yards and 28 touchdowns against 10 interceptions. He led the Bucs to a 9-win season which was good enough for their third straight NFC South division title.
