Football fans were saying the same thing about “Monday Night Football” analyst Troy Aikman during the Philadelphia Eagles’ home opener against the Atlanta Falcons tonight.
Troy Aikman and play-by-play man Joe Buck kicked off their third season as the voices of ESPN’s MNF show last week when the San Francisco 49ers played host to Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.
Aikman returned to work on Monday night for a showdown with the Falcons and Eagles. But let’s just say that plenty of fans on X/Twitter weren’t exactly pleased with the Hall of Famer’s latest performance in the broadcast booth:

Aikman’s deal with ESPN is reportedly a five-year pact worth $90 million. Tom Brady, who took over as the analyst on FOX Sports’ top NFL commentary team this year, signed a 10-year deal worth $375 million.
Troy Aikman Has Another Mixed Performance On MNF
Like every sports commentator, Aikman has his fair share of naysayers and fans. Many were pleased with his performance tonight (including his courage to call out the officials), but as you can see, there was no shortage of critics.
