Social media had plenty to say after a new report stated that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce asked Kamala Harris’ campaign about potentially appearing at the 2024 Democratic National Convention.
On Thursday evening, Gayle King of CBS reported that Travis Kelce “reached out to” Kamala Harris’s campaign and said that he would like to appear and see the Vice President speak. The DNC is being held at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
That obviously never came to fruition, as the 34-year-old Kelce was at Arrowhead Stadium Thursday night for the Chiefs’ preseason finale against the Chicago Bears.
As expected, social media had plenty of interesting reactions to news about Travis Kelce asking to attend the DNC on Thursday:

Travis Kelce hasn’t outright endorsed a presidential candidate, but his promotion of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and endorsements with Bud Light have naturally led to assumptions that he’s voting for the Democratic party.
Taylor Swift, who’s been in a relationship with Kelce for about a year, called out Donald Trump on X/Twitter and vowed to vote him out in November:

Harris won the Democratic nomination after incumbent Joe Biden announced that he would not seek reelection this November.
Harris, who was the vice president during Biden’s tenure in office, will become the first-ever woman president of the United States if she defeats Trump. If the latter wins, he’ll join Grover Cleveland as the only president to serve two non-consecutive terms.
Travis Kelce & Chiefs Are Aiming For A Three-Peat
Last season, Kelce led the Kansas City Chiefs to the first NFL repeat in 19 years when they defeated the San Francisco 49er in overtime of Super Bowl 58.
Up next, the Chiefs will aim to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowl championships. That quest will begin on Sept. 5 when they host reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL Kickoff Game at Arrowhead Stadium.
