Everson Griffen is headed back to the Minnesota Vikings and has some apologizing to do.
On Monday, the Vikings announced that they have agreed to terms with free-agent defensive end Everson Griffen, who played for the organization from 2010 through 2019.
Earlier this year, Griffen went viral went he took to Twitter and took a stiff shot at Vikings starting quarterback Kirk Cousins. In a now deleted Twitter thread, Griffen said that “Kirk Cousins is ass” and told people to “Ask [Mike] ZIMMER if he wanted Kirk?????”
He now plans on apologizing To Cousins for what he said.

To be fair, he apologized on Twitter for what he said, but this time he wants to do it in public.
“I’m sorry for posting that about Kirk. It’s not right for me to call people out. I apologize for hurting him. I’m very grateful and thankful.”
Griffen split the 2020 campaign between the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions.
The 2017 second-team All-Pro selection recorded 355 total tackles, 176 quarterback hits, 74.5 sacks, 16 passes defended and nine forced fumbles across 147 appearances for the Vikings.
