Would the Seattle Seahawks actually think about moving Russell Wilson if the right price presented itself?
On Thursday, we found out that Wilson being so open and honest about his frustrations with the Seahawks is not sitting well with team management. The star quarterback spoke earlier this week about not being sure whether he was available in a trade, while also stating his unhappiness with getting hit so much and wanting to be more involved in the franchise’s decision making.
“A source told me that the Seahawks’ management is not happy with Russell Wilson and his camp for taking this to the media,” Dan Patrick said on his radio show Wednesday. “You wonder if Russ and the Seahawks are going to be able to coexist. … Right now, the current situation is not sustainable. That’s what I was told.”
The Seahawks may be upset, but they aren’t willing to move him in a trade. That hasn’t stopped a plethora of teams from reaching out anyway.
“I can tell you more teams continue to call the Seahawks about the availability, potentially, of Russell Wilson,” Pelissero said on Thursday. “I also can tell you those teams, from what I have picked up on so far, have gotten no indication that the Seahawks are in any way inclined to trading their star quarterback.”
