Deshaun Watson, who was accused of sexual misconduct by more than 20 women, has been given a six-game suspension by independent arbitrator judge Sue Robinson. He was suspended for six games for “egregious” acts of “sexualized contact” with massage therapists.
Robinson ruled there’s “sufficient circumstantial evidence to support the NFL’s contention” that Watson sought sexual contact with several massage therapists he reached via social media. The quarterback “knew such sexualized contact was unwanted,” the judge added.
The same day the ruling came down, Watson was on the practice field being cheered by Browns fans. The video showed him being mobbed for autographs.
ESPN’s Sarah Spain gave her disgusted reaction to that video.
Despite being suspended for six contests, Watson is allowed to practice with the team in training camp.

He was acquired — along with a 2024 sixth-rounder — in the offseason by the Browns for Cleveland’s first-round picks in 2022, 2023, and 2024, along with a 2023 third-rounder and fourth-rounders in 2022 and 2024. He sat out the entire 2021 campaign due to a trade request and numerous sexual misconduct allegations.
Watson is expected to make his highly anticipated Browns debut in Week 7 against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.
