Ever since the Chargers packed up and left San Diego for Los Angeles, it has been problem after problem as the franchise continues to find it hard to gain any type of fan base in a city that has mostly Rams, Raiders, and even Cowboys fans.
The Los Angeles Chargers don’t currently play in a traditional football stadium since their move in 2017. They play “home” games in Dignity Health Sports Park, located in Carson, California, just roughly 16 miles south of downtown LA. Home was in quotes due to the fact that opposing team fan bases tend to take over the entire stadium and the Chargers are left having to do silent counts due to the noise going on while they are on offense.
Sometimes, fans can forget that the team has moved as they became a staple of the San Diego community since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.
Apparently, that’s an issue for the Worldwide Leader in sports because ESPN was in the process of doing a promo of next week’s Monday Night Football matchup between the Chargers and the Chiefs, when they seemed to forget the home team had moved.
ESPN listed the Chargers in San Diego.
