ESPN’s 2020 NFL season projections are not going to make Green Bay Packers fans very happy.
ESPN’s Football Power Index ran 20,000 simulations of the 2020 NFL season and they have the Green Bay Packers not winning the NFC North and dropping down 5 wins from the year before.
ESPN has the Minnesota Vikings coming in as top team in the division, while the Packers are just winning 8 games. Green Bay is even sitting at just 43 percent to make the playoffs (compared to 54 percent for Minnesota).
Considering the Packers went 13-3 and earned a first-round bye in the 2019 season, this is such a huge shocker for a team who is expected to be right there in 2020 as well.
If the Packers defense returns to what it was last season while the offense makes a huge jump, it’s hard to think the Packers won’t be one of the best teams in the NFC.
